Avenly Designs uses several types of beads. Beads are 14k gold filled beads or 925 Sterling Silver, non-tarnish, nickel free beads. Other materials used are glass, pearls, and wood. Please look at the information section of the design to know the exact details of the bead.
Gold filled is a high quality alternative to pure gold beads. They hold 100 times more gold when compared to gold platted. Gold platted are inexpensively made by depositing a very thin layer of gold over less precious metal. Gold filled beads are made for everyday wear and should not tarnish. However, everyone's skin acidity is different and may cause some discoloration if that happens, please reach out to us. If any bracelet tarnishes, we will make you a new one.
